Animals We Treat

Diverse Livestock Expertise

Cattle

Beef and Dairy, to include miniature breeds.  Services include vaccines, VFDs, calving & other emergencies, castration and parasite control. Catch facilities at the client’s property are strongly recommended. Call to discuss breeding services and dehorning options.

Camelids

Routine and emergency care for Llamas and Alpacas including hoof and teeth trimming, delivery and parasite control.

Small ruminants

Sheep and goats are our sweet spot!  Parasite control programs, kidding and lambing, vaccines and emergencies.  Call to discuss dehorning, castrations and breeding services.

Equines

We see horses, ponies, miniatures, donkeys and mules.  Vaccines, colics, lacerations, parasite control and maintenance for senior equines.  For dentals, we partner with McCarthy Equine Dentistry, a certified equine dentist.  Call to discuss breeding services and castrations.

Poultry

Any type of farmed poultry, from quail through guineafowl, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl and even the big birds (emus) if proper facilities are present.

Swine

We provide care for miniature/potbelly pigs and for regular (market) hogs, providing adequate handling facilities are available on-site.

Rabbits

We support all types of 4H/FFA projects to include rabbits and cavies (guinea pigs).  We provide services for house rabbits and for show and meat rabbits.

Bees

Yes, we can help beekeepers with medicating their bees!  Just like other agricultural animals, we must conduct an on-site exam in order to prescribe medications.  Let us know if you prefer to provide your gear (veil and gloves) otherwise I have my own.

Standard Service Rates

Farm call – covers time and vehicle expenses to get to your door. Figured roughly from Suwannee County Courthouse, Live Oak.

Within Suwannee County: $40 per trip, with an added $35 for same day urgent cases during daylight and nighttime calls starting at an additional $75
Hamilton County: $50 to $55 per trip, daylight emergency $40/nighttime calls $85
Madison County: $55 to $65 per trip,  daylight emergency $40/nighttime calls $85
Lafayette County: $65 to $70 per trip,  daylight emergency $40/nighttime calls $85

Payment Options Available

Cash and Checks made out to Suwannee Mobile Veterinary Services PLLC are gratefully accepted.  Zelle payments accepted with no extra fee.
Paypal, Venmo, and Credit/Debit cards readily accepted, with an additional fee of 0.035 (3.5%) to cover transaction fees.
